In this chapter of strategic control and corporate governance, CEO duality is addressed. This is the dual-leadership structure in which the CEO of the company acts as the chair of the board of directors at the same time. Saum Sauteria joined Tenet Healthcare in 2019, becoming the CEO in 2021. Two years later he also became chairman of the board. Since taking the chairman’s position, Tenet stock has over tripled in price. Without offering an opinion for or against CEO duality, I believe the stock price for the past five years is quite telling. Source: Google
